Lake District
Murthwaite provides an ideal base for relaxing, walking
and watching the abundant lakeland wildlife or from which to explore
the great variety of towns, villages, lakes and mountains to be
found in the Lake District. Within just 6 miles is the market town
of Kendal,
with a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants, and home to the

complex. Eight miles from Murthwaite is Windermere, always a popular
spot with visitors to the Lake District, with its water sports, lake

attractions. The delights of Ambleside, Grasmere, Coniston and
Keswick are just a short drive further.

further afield the M6 motorway is just 14 miles, providing quick
access to the Dales and the Scottish Borders.
